Multi-site Digital Banking Platform - Customer & Business Portal
Development of a complete digital banking platform based on Drupal Multisite architecture, managing individual customer and business digital portals for a Chilean financial institution in a unified manner. The project encompasses multiple interconnected sites under a single infrastructure: the customer portal with financial self-service tools, the corporate business portal and the central administration panel.
Within the multisite ecosystem, credit simulators (mortgage and consumer) are the main component of the customer portal, implemented with 3-stage multi-step flows, REST API integration with banking systems for real-time rate retrieval, native Chilean RUT validation algorithm, and dynamic legal PDF generation with mPDF. The multisite architecture enables sharing custom modules, base configurations and database schemas across sites while maintaining differentiated visual identities and features per segment.
The system uses Acquia Site Studio for managing visual components shared across sites, implements state management through Drupal sessions, interdependent AJAX validations and deploys on Acquia Cloud Platform with support for multiple environments (dev, staging, prod) per site in the multisite network.
