SeatFlow

April 2026 - June 2026

SeatFlow is the Drupal Commerce backend for an events/ticketing platform. It owns events, seats and orders, charges payments through Stripe, and issues OAuth tokens so its sibling apps — TicketsFlow and CheckFlow — can authenticate customers and staff.

Project Description

SeatFlow is a Drupal 11 application built on Drupal Commerce that manages events, seat inventory and orders as its core data model. Customers browse an interactive seat map, add seats to their cart, and check out; each seat moves through a clear lifecycle — available, reserved, sold — with abandoned reservations automatically released back into the pool after a short hold window.

Payments run through Stripe, and a confirmed order fans out in three directions at once: an n8n automation workflow that emails the customer their order confirmation, and a webhook to the sibling TicketsFlow app, which generates the customer's QR ticket. SeatFlow also acts as the identity provider for its two companion apps, issuing OAuth tokens so TicketsFlow and CheckFlow can authenticate customers and staff without a login system of their own.

SeatFlow anchors the events platform's backend — TicketsFlow (customer ticket delivery and dashboard) and CheckFlow (venue check-in) both build on the event and order data it manages, consuming it over a JSON:API layer alongside a purpose-built seat-availability endpoint for the live seat map.
